AFRICAN WOMEN FASHIONPRENEURS PROGRAM

Pamela is very passionate about women empowerment and helping women reach their full potential in a world where they are so often relegated to the background. This is why she started this program to give back and help women in her home country.

In loving memory of her Father Major Emma Emmanuel she was inspired to give back to her society through her philanthropic endeavor the African Women Fashionprenuers Program.

The AFRICAN WOMEN FASHIONPRENEURS PROGRAM in partnership with Women Impacting Nigeria (WIN) was created to equip 50-100 women in Nigeria with the necessary vocational skills and capability building techniques to excel in the fashion in the industry by raising One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) by Feburary 2021.

The program achieves this goal through vocational training and connecting selected beneficiaries with female fashion experts in diaspora who will mentor them and lead them through the tricky waters of entrepreneurship, fashion and business success.

Research shows that 48% of women in Nigeria between 35 and 45 years are not educated adequately, and even those that are not earning substantial salaries. This situation is because of sexual bias and gender inequality that is still highly prevalent in Nigeria.

The program is in Lagos Mainland L.G.A of  Lagos state. The 100 beneficiaries are selected from market women, small business owners, artisans, and unskilled tradeswomen, to mention a few. These women are picked from various local government areas in select parts of Lagos and are between the age bracket of 25 – 45 years of age.
